hard work and laziness

They say success comes with hard work. And they say hard work requires effort. And anything that requires effort is torturous and not enjoyable. I think that's when laziness kicks in. If hard work is enjoyable than success comes easily. The thing is how to make working enjoyable? Personally, I feel it's enjoyable when you know you're getting somewhere.
