I went indoor rock climbing today, and it cost 10 bloody pounds! Good thing Dan drove, else there will be a large hole in my pocket. Being a first time climber, it's definitely tough as my fingers and tendons are not used to the rough surface of the rocks. It generally uses a lot of back muscles, deltoids, abs and definitely the fingers and wrist (very good training for tendons). It takes a lot of practice to get it right, and definitely need to balance the center of gravity to use as little strength as possible. Reminds me a bit of pakour- moving in the most efficient manner. If I am to scale a mountain or a wall or some sort of cave, this will definitely be useful. Just the difficulty alone makes me think of how hard it will be to climb the corporate ladder (not that there's much relation to it). But the amount of effort, practice and perseverance pouring into it, is probably the same. Think when i am back in Singapore, I will find a rock climbing hub and continue this new found hobby.
finally u start writing things!!
